Emirates Airline is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its main hub is the Dubai International airport. Passengers may check-in online 24 hours before flight departure. Online check-in closes two hours before scheduled flight takeoff. Check-in counters close 1 hour and 30 minutes before flight departure. This applies for the passengers checking luggage into the hold. Passengers with hand-held baggage may check-in as late as an hour before flight departure.
Only one carry-on luggage is allowed per passenger, with a maximum weight of 7kg or dimensions of 55 x 38 x 20cm. For checked baggage, a number of two bags are allowed per passenger. Each bags must be within the maximum linear dimensions of 158cm (length + width + height), with both bags weighing not more than 32kg, except for all flights to and from the United States and Canada, where the maximum weight is 23kg.
Passengers are allowed to change their traveling details, such as contact information, meal preferred, seats requested, frequent-flyer number or Chauffeur-drive booking. These changes may be changed on the “Manage a Booking” page on the Emirate Airline website. For other changes, passengers may call the Emirates office to make their booking changes. Passengers will be charged an administrative fee, plus any difference in the cost of the new ticket.
Infants may fly on an adult’s lap at discounted flight fares. On some flights, child flight fares are about 80 percent of an adult’s fare. The minimum age for a child flying alone is five years old. Senior citizens may travel without having to pay any fares.
Pets are not allowed to travel in the cabin with the owners. However, pets may be carried in the check-in hold, but this depends on the policy of the country of destination. Passengers must call the Emirates Airline in advance to book pet travel.
Passengers are permitted to carry musical instruments on Emirates Flights. There are three different ways; checked in as a checked baggage, as a hand-held luggage to be carried in the cabin, or on extra seats that can be purchased. All bookings must be done in advance.
The Emirates Airline provides complimentary hot meals and drinks on all flights. The in-flight entertainment can also be enjoyed, such as on-demand video and television with more than 600 channels, as well as short message service (SMS), email and telephone facilities.
