Etihad Airways to celebrate ten years of service to Manila

Etihad, the prominent gulf airline is gearing up for its 10th anniversary of soaring high in the skies. At the same time, it is preparing to celebrate ten years of flying to the Philippines. The airline is planning a bash at Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.
The airline, which is renowned to offer business class flights to Manila cannot stop basking in the glory of its expansion in the South Asian country. In fact, James Hogan the Chief Executive of the airline is leading a delegation of senior executives to the city to commemorate its achievements. Manila will host a cocktail party to celebrate the event.
The airline initially started four-days-a week flights to Manila in 2008. The service was operated by Airbus A330-200 aircraft. It gradually switched to daily and at present, the carrier operates twice-daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Manila. It, however, uses the larger Boeing 777-300 ERs to carry passengers to the city.
In the last ten years, the city has helped the airline record a three times growth. The Manila route is one of the most profitable routes for the airline. So far it has carried over 2.3 million passengers to the capital city. Many businesses, as well as leisure travelers, frequent this route making it a lucrative for the carrier’s business.
Some of the facilities enjoyed by business travelers with Etihad include access to excellent lounges at the airport that serve food and drinks to the waiting travelers. Priority check-in, 180-degree recline seats that can convert into fully flat beds and have an inbuilt massager, cabins with mood lighting, welcome drink, delectable meals, unlimited entertainment, and gracious hospitality are other benefits enjoyed by the customers.
